CBRE All Schools presents a great opportunity for CBRE to gain awareness amongst school children of the potential future careers in the property sector.
It also extends the reach of offering places for its award-winning CBRE apprenticeship scheme and work experience opportunities. With rugby as a platform for engagement, we are taking our ‘pathways to real estate’ initiative into schools to open children’s eyes to career opportunities in real estate, promote our accredited pathways to chartered surveying, and bring fresh talent into the industry.
CBRE’s Learning and Development team to date, have visited 100 schools and hosted 40 work experience students. In 2015 we recruited 61 graduates into the fantastic Graduate Scheme at CBRE .
CBRE Graduate Scheme
The CBRE Graduate Scheme is a two-year programme which combines on-the-job learning and formal training geared towards a professional qualification in chartered surveying. Candidates make their application in the final year of university; interviews are held in January, with the scheme starting in September following graduation.
Our aim is prepare CBRE Graduate Scheme participants for the Assessment of Professional Competence, which requires two years’ professional experience. Beyond that, we support our graduates to become qualified chartered surveyors and members of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the world’s leading professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property and construction.
CBRE Apprenticeship Scheme
The CBRE Apprenticeship Scheme is a six-year programme which, like the Graduate Scheme, combines on-the-job learning and formal training geared towards professional qualifications in chartered surveying. It includes BTEC and NVQ qualifications, undergraduate degrees in real estate (BSc) and the Assessment of Professional Competence.
Unique to the industry, this fully-funded programme ensures that CBRE is leading the way, recruiting from the widest and most diverse talent pool. In 2014 the CBRE Apprenticeship Scheme acheieved a new milestone, winning the silver aware for Best Apprenticeship Programme in the Training Journal Awards.
