We take seriously our commitments to society, and the focus of CBRE’s involvement in CBRE All Schools in particular is to make a positive difference to young people’s lives – broadening their horizons and helping them understand the vast range of opportunities available to them.
Almost 90% of our employees believe that corporate responsibility is important to their career at CBRE, and through CBRE Cares our worldwide philanthropy programme we are working to demonstrate to each other and the world that we take our responsibilities seriously.
Our Internal Enthusiasm
CBRE’s commitment to CBRE All Schools extended to all staff levels, from graduates to our Managing Director.
“Taking part in sport not only has long-term health and well-being benefits but it also develops the so called ‘soft skills’ of communication, teamwork and confidence that over a lifetime will boost employability. There is a great opportunity for business to play a role in encouraging more children, particularly girls to engage in sport. This is why we are proud to be the principal partner of England Rugby’s CBRE All Schools which aims to create a positive legacy for one million children from a diverse range of backgrounds through rugby and its core values.” Ciaran Bird – UK Managing Director
We currently have 153 CBRE Staff volunteers signed up to the programme, with 124 trained by England Rugby to be Activators, Coaches or Referees.
The aim is to deliver an annual cycle of CBRE volunteer training, development and deployment throughout the four parts of CBRE All Schools as follows:
This approach is designed to increase the local volunteer network for CBRE All Schools, raise the profile of CBRE All Schools among CBRE staff and ultimately develop more trained people to help support the growth of the game.
CBRE All Schools is pivotal in aiding CBRE on its journey to become an world-class responsible business.
CBRE All Schools
- Encourages children from diverse backgrounds to get involved in sport and figures show it encourages more women into rugby and into sport in general.
- Invests in communities at a school, club, teacher, child and parent level. Through linking three schools together in clusters around a club, it builds relationships and creates new communities.
- Develops CBRE’s staff – providing fantastic opportunities through volunteering and the offer of coaching and training from England Rugby.
- Provides all children involved in CBRE All Schools an opportunity for development, through playing rugby and through the contact with CBRE. By providing career talks and creating personal career paths into property for students. CBRE are able to open their horizons to the real estate careers both within our sector and our graduate and apprenticeship schemes.
